Featuring

Ron Church & Tammy Carder

Two strangers, a man and a woman, board a San Francisco BART train at 4:30 a.m. They're alone in the car, each is married, both are doing the New York Times crossword. She's an organized, sensible psychologist. He's a free-spirited, unemployed ad exec. She is a crossword pro, he always quits. When he tosses his puzzle away, she snaps, "Crosswords are a metaphor for life, those who finish, succeed, those who don't, fail." Now he vows to finish. Why?  He's a competitor and she happens to be lovely. This starts an eighty-minute ride described by critics as "Hilarious," "Witty," "Romantic," "Poignant," and "Wonderfully entertaining." Two opposites in an enclosed space, attacking each other's values but also being swayed and intrigued by them. They each have serious life problems that the other helps solve. Their trip is filled with unpredictable, but believable, surprises, even a passionate kissing embrace or two. As the train ride ends, it's obvious each of them has been changed for the better.

The Boys Next Door

Directed by Ron Church

Assistant Director - Morgen Kyser

The Boys Next Door is set in a group home in a New England city where four mentally challenged men live under the supervision of an earnest but increasingly ‘burned out’ social worker named Jack. Each of the four men have different disabilities, and their stories are woven into scenes where ‘little things’ can become momentous (and often very funny) events, and they are mixed with moments of great poignancy when, with touching effectiveness, were are reminded that ALL people want only to love, laugh, and find some meaning and purpose in the brief time we are allotted on this earth.

"Griffin's play hits squarely on the truth of life with its constant interplays and shadings of triumphs and tears." —NY Daily News.

"THE BOYS NEXT DOOR moves the audience to an awareness of how many things in everyday life we take for granted…" —NY Times.

Disney Channel’s smash hit movie musical comes to life on your stage! Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High must deal with issues of first love, friends and family while balancing their classes and extracurricular activities.

It’s the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes find their cliques, recount their vacations and look forward to the new year. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. They cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical that is being led by Ms. Darbus. Although many students resent the threat posed to the “status quo,” Troy and Gabriella’s alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well.

Disney’s High School Musical is fun for the whole family. Its large cast size and upbeat numbers make it the ideal show for middle and high school productions or the highlight of any community theatre’s season!

Directed by Dawna Kornick

Assistant Director Caitlin Allshouse

Performance Dates

November 8 - November 9
Friday & Saturday @ 8:15 pm

The Star on My Heart, written by Angela Miloro-Hansen, tells the story of Holocaust survivor Inge Auerbacher and her experiences in the Terezin concentration camp and her recovery from tuberculosis after the war in New York.

We are hoping to be able to bring Inge to Ohio for part of this run!

Auditions will be announced soon. There will be two casts - one of adults and students, and the other of just students. The student cast will perform the school day shows, the main cast will perform the main shows.

We are still finalizing locations for performances. We are excited to be scheduled at Berkshire High School and Theatre 815 and have a few more to add to that list soon. ;-)
